Non-Indigenes in Anambra Urge Opposition Candidates to Support Soludo’s Leadership

The Non-Indigenes Association in Anambra State (ANISA/ANIAS) has called on candidates of other political parties in the recently concluded governorship election to rally behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the collective effort to advance the state.
In a statement issued by its President, Chief Amb. Great Ugwuoke, the group emphasized that unity among political actors would serve the best interests of Ndi-Anambra and all residents.
“It would be in the best interest of Ndi-Anambra and residents alike if all the candidates of other political parties in the gubernatorial race accept the election results in good faith and join forces with Prof. Soludo in his transformational leadership,” Ugwuoke stated.
The association congratulated Governor Soludo on his landslide victory, noting that the impressive voter turnout across the state was a strong indication of improved security and growing public confidence in governance.
Ugwuoke recalled that the leadership of ANISA/ANIAS had endorsed Soludo on October 7, 2025, and subsequently mobilized members statewide to vote massively for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
“We took that decision because we believe in the governor’s leadership style and his campaign promises, which, when implemented, will transform the fortunes of Ndi-Anambra and residents alike,” he added.
The group further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and media practitioners for their professionalism and effective discharge of constitutional duties during the election.
ANISA/ANIAS also praised its members for their civic responsibility and urged them to remain law-abiding as the state embarks on a new phase of development under Governor Soludo’s administration.
