APGA Issues Strong Warning to APC’s Ukachukwu: “No Vacancy in Agu-Awka, Soludo’s Reign to Last Till 2030”

As the Anambra State governorship election looms on November 8, 2025, tensions have escalated between the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the All Progressives Congress (APC). APGA has fired a stern message to APC’s governorship candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, asserting that no amount of federal power will shield him from a crushing defeat.
Ukachukwu, confident in his bid to end what he calls the “one-party system” in Anambra, has declared readiness to wrest the state from APGA’s grip. But the ruling party is having none of it.
In a press statement released Tuesday, Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, accused Ukachukwu of scheming to manipulate the election using “presidential might,” a move doomed to fail. Obigwe also dismissed the recent efforts by APC National Chairman, Umar Ganduje, to showcase Ukachukwu and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, before President Tinubu at the Villa as mere political theater that won’t sway Anambra voters.
“Ukachukwu’s desperation to rig the November election with federal backing is clear. He knows deep down he’s not electable and has no credible message to win over Anambra’s electorate,” Obigwe said.
The statement did not hold back: “Ganduje’s attempt to ‘package’ Ukachukwu and Ekwunife like ‘Belgian rats’ for President Tinubu’s approval is a futile exercise. The APC candidate will suffer a resounding defeat at the polls.”
Obigwe went further to emphasize that President Tinubu bears no responsibility for Ukachukwu’s “financially induced” emergence as the APC candidate.
“We will keep saying it regardless of who it offends: Ukachukwu will be rejected at the polls. This is especially true as the people of Anambra are enjoying the tangible benefits of Governor Soludo’s administration.”
Highlighting Governor Charles Soludo’s impactful governance, the statement praised the current administration for making Anambra a model state. “Thanks to Soludo’s leadership, Anambra now stands as the envy of other Nigerian states.”
Obigwe concluded with a pointed warning to Ukachukwu’s supporters, labeling them “enemies of the state” who will be decisively defeated by patriotic Anambra citizens come November.
His final words were unequivocal: “There is no vacancy at the Anambra State Government House. It’s Governor Soludo for Governor—or no one—until March 17, 2030.”
