Seeing movies is one of the things we do for relaxation. These movies are however thought about, written as scripts, directed, and acted. A whole lot goes into the production of movies. What we view on the screen is the end product of the movies. This is where we see actors talking, making gestures, and doing basically other things we do every day. The difference is that they are being shot and directed while the scenarios go on. Here are some actors you probably didn’t know are from Anambra state.
Chief Pete Edochie

The veteran actor Chief Pete Edochie is known for usually playing the roles of king and father in movies. The actor came into limelight when he played the role of Okonkwo on screen from Chinua Achebe’s popular novel, “Things Fall Apart”.
He had played so many pioneering and inspiring roles in the Nigerian movie industry. Chief Pete Edochie has gathered so much experience working in different parts of the country and the globe. He was once a staff of the country’s railway corporation and the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation. These and many more did so much to his capability on stage. The actor’s roles in movies have done a lot in the growth of Nollywood. The titled man has also helped in grooming the younger generation in the industry.
Ngozi Ezeonu

While Chief Pete Edochie plays the roles of king and father, Ngozi Ezeonu plays the roles of queen and mother. She is known for the pretty smiles and style she brings on stage. She also has a great fashion sense. What do you expect of a queen? Ngozi Ezeonu has it in folds. When she acts, she is quite good at articulating her thoughts and being observant as a mother would. She is also a businesswoman and a former journalist. Give her the maternal role of someone from a humble background, she would do justice to it. The Nollywood Lover Boy who hails from Ogidi had his early life in Lagos state. He has a degree in English Language and a Master’s in International Law and Diplomacy. His acting skills have gotten him so many awards.
Amaechi Muonagor

While blood runs through the human veins, it seems humor accompanies the blood that runs through Amaechi Muonagor’s veins. That seems to be the reason why he is so creative and funny. When you watch his movies, you would want to laugh whenever he opens his mouth. He has a talent for acting and he nurtured it with care. He also plays other roles so well. Amaechi Muonagor had his higher education in the University of Nigeria Nsukka, where he graduated with a degree in Economics. The actor and producer holds a Chieftaincy title from his hometown, Obosi.
Queen Nwokoye

It doesn’t matter if the role requires energy and action, romantic or comic scenarios, give it to Queen Nwokoye. She is so versatile in her field of work. Queen is from Ihembosi in Ekwusigo local government area, Anambra state. A lot of people think she is from Mbano because of her role in the movie “Ada Mbano”. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. Queen doesn’t need to break a sweat before you laugh; she is just naturally funny. She has taken home so many awards all thanks to her great acting skills and versatility. Queen has poise and can easily blend to fit roles in movies.
Chioma Chukwuka

The head-turning beauty is a household name in the Nigerian movie industry. Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha is an actress, scriptwriter, movie director, and producer. She has starred in hundreds of movies. She was known as Chioma Chukwuka before she married hence the name Akpotha. She is also a model, a wife and a mother of two pretty kids. Chioma hails from Oraifite but was born in Lagos. The thespian holds a degree in Banking and Finance from Lagos State University. Chioma is a gifted actress whose craft in interpreting roles lives you in awe of her.
Zubby Michael

Azubuike Michael Egwu, who is popularly known as Zubby Michael is one of the prominent actors of this generation. Zubby is known for the energy he brings on stage. He takes actions to another level and is so good with trendy lines.
Zubby came into the limelight in 2006 after starring in the movie “The Three Widows”. He has been holding the scene and viewers captive with his great roles in movies. Zubby Michael was appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media by the former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano. The talented actor has bagged so many awards.
