It was more than just a birthday celebration. It was a day of impact, gratitude, and community pride — as friends, family, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate Hon. Sir Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour) on his 50th birthday and to witness the unveiling of a truly meaningful gift to his hometown.
Among those moved by the gesture was ICT expert and media strategist, Henry Obiozor, PhD, who had nothing but praise for the man of the moment. Hon. Nwoye, who currently serves as the Chief Protocol Officer and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Anambra State Governor, marked his golden jubilee by donating a brand-new, ultra-modern multipurpose hall to his village, Uruorji, Nawfia.
After the thanksgiving service held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Nawfia, Dr. Obiozor described the project as a “massive show of heart and vision,” saying the hall would serve generations to come.
“This isn’t just a building—it’s a legacy,” Dr. Obiozor said warmly. “It reflects the kind of leader Hon. Nwoye is — someone who doesn’t just celebrate milestones but uses them to uplift others. This is what community development should look like.”
The Uruorji Village Hall, built in memory of Nwoye’s late parents, Reuben and Christiana Nwoye, is fully equipped to host social, civic, and cultural events. Locals see it as a unifying space — a gift that will continue giving for years.

Dr. Obiozor offered heartfelt prayers for the celebrant and his family, expressing hope that this example of service will inspire more leaders to remember their roots.
The event was also a reunion of sorts, as government officials, traditional rulers, political appointees, clergy, and residents came together not just to celebrate a birthday, but to honor a man whose life reflects humility, generosity, and genuine community spirit.

- Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Nawfia
