SOLUDO IN YOUTH AND WOMEN APPOINTMENTS; Do The Rating.

When Mr Governor wrote in his Manifesto; A People’s Manifesto For A Greater Anambra, saying;

1- “The Youths are the bridge to the future”.

2- “All sections of this Manifesto are about the Youths.”

3- “Women are more than equal partners in development and must be recognized and treated as such.”

4- “In addition to the foregoing, we will: continue and expand the appointment and involvement of young men and women in governance.”

We thought it was the usual rhetorics of politicians in this part of the world just to get votes, little did we know that in his first appointment, he would already shoot beyond the initial expectations.

In the words of Pierre Cornielle,
“Every man of courage is a man of his words” .
Truly, it seems the above quote was made with the likes of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo in mind.

I don’t know how many Women that has been appointed here as the Attorney Generals of Anambra State since it’s creation, but Soludo appointed a Woman in that capacity.

Ministry of Transport has always been seen as the “Men-thing”, but Soludo gave a Woman, the Commissioner for Transportation.

The Ministry of Women affairs will definitely be headed by a Woman, so Hon Ify Obinabo’s appointment in this area is not celebrated, but Prof. replaced a woman Professor with another Woman Professor in the Ministry of Education, where thousands of young men and women are about to be Unleashed… I n mathematics, it is called Substitution Method, not that of Elimination.

I also know that The Special Adviser-SPAD on Abuja Liaison and Tax Matters is Hon Chief Oby Okwubanego. You may know others.

Today again, Odenigbo Aguata na Orumba has appointed another woman, Hon Amaka Obi as the TC Chairman of Idemili South Local Government… Truly, this is one too many. Firstly, Hon Amaka is going to serve as a Local Government Chairman in the very first appointment of such, made in Anambra since I could remember. This is not a second tenure or second time appointment.

For a Man who shut the office of the First Lady (his wife) to start on this pedestal is honestly confusing… Hope Anambra women won’t rename him The Ladys Man!

Meanwhile, the Youths occupy from Chief Protocol, Deputy Chief Protocol, Commissioner for Power and water resources, Commissioner for Budget and implementation, commissioner for Youths, Special Adviser on Youths, DG Project Management and Monitoring-Hon Obumneme Akunyili and very many others.

Today, he has scattered Youths to the headship of more than 25% of all the local Government Councils of Anambra State, starting from the Chairman of the Largest Local Government in the State; Aguata, that of Orumba North, Hon Ogochukwu Ekwueme, the Chairman of Dunukofia, Hon Augustine Onyemobi, the Local Government Chairman of Anambra East and others that you know .

Who could believe that youths have anything to offer in peace and reconciliation committee of the State, a committee that is saddled with almost the most difficult responsibilities in an era of onye gbata ogbaghara ibe ya. Yet, Hon Samuel Egwuatu, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezukwu and others are serving in it, conspicuously.

Before now, many people believe that the chairmanship of Local Governments is a gerontocratic gathering of Ndi Okenye Nzukó. … But to God be the Glory, we are not too young to Chair. Thank you Dike Udo na Isuofia.

Honestly, it may not be surprising to see more than 50 percentage of Agencies, Local Councils, Parastatals, and Directorates being headed by Youths in this State before the regime of Prof C. C Soludo comes to an end.

Hence, through his appointments so far, and by the requirements of The Sustainable Development Goals-SDG, goal number 4- (Education) 5(gender equality) and 10 (Inequality), Prof have shown that he is an educated man.

Therefore, to a man who does what he says and says what he does, to a man of great courage and discipline, to an established agent of change and to the Man who is ready to take the bullets and redirect our ship from her uncertain sail towards a progressive direction. To Prof Cee Cee Soludo-CFR, I say well done Mr Governor.!

It won’t be a bad idea if the Youths and Women gather one day through the different umbrellas, just to give you a 21 patriotic gbosaas for already shattering a lot of records and balancing some Ideologies.
