Dr. Clem Nwogbo Champions ‘Adopt A School Initiative’, Builds Educational Facilities For Two Schools

Dr. Clem Nwogbo, Chairman, Awka Millenium City Development Company Limited and M-P Infrastructure Limited, has recently championed the “adopt a school initiative” by setting up educational facilities in two school in Awka.
Yesterday being Friday, May 6, 2022, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo was present to unveil the newly adopted schools.
He praised the philanthropist, Dr. Clem, for being an illustrious son of Anambra having contributed immensely to the development of the education sector and also to the State.
The good nature displayed by Dr. Clem would be described as giving back to society. Governor Soludo painted the image of public schools as aged parents who rely completely on their children when age calls, having raised the children to stand on their feet.
Dr. Clem changed the looks of Capital City Secondary School and Amaenyi Community Primary school, Awka. The one-story block of the Assembly hall, library, and digital learning room, green lawn playground in the schools owe their appearances to the generosity of the philanthropist. He has also employed about 20 teachers to boost the learning institutions.
Prof Soludo urged the parents and pupils to make positive impacts in the society as such attracts the blessings of the Almighty. He also recognized the good works done by late Chief Anthony Enukeme of Tonimas Group, who constructed roads and facilitated other numerous projects in the state.
The Governor wrote “The fate of our public schools is like those of our aged parents who depend solely on their children for survival after years of valuable contributions to making the children who they have become today.
It is with this in mind that discerning ndị Anambra has gone back to inject life into public Primary and Secondary schools within our local communities. The “adopt a school initiative” is one we must mainstream in a State like Anambra where Private/individual contribution to the GDP is at an enviable 98%.
Yesterday, I was at Amaenyi Awka to commission an education intervention project by one of our illustrious sons, Mr. Clem Nwogbo (Obu bụ Enyi Awka) at Capital City Secondary School and Amaenyi Community Primary school, Awka. Clem has amongst other contributions, built a one storey block of Assembly hall, library, and digital learning room, plus a green lawn playground respectively for both schools. He has further recruited and paid the wages of about 20 qualified Teachers to buffer what the government currently provides.
He calls it the Corporate Social Responsibility project of his company, Awka Millennium City, a Real Estate concern, with a client base across the country. I am delighted at this singular sense of community, which of course is typical of the Anambra Spirit. This is who we are!
I charged the parents and children to seize this lifetime opportunity to learn as Clem has caused a disruption that will positively alter the minds of our children, and most certainly will receive God’s choicest blessings on behalf of thousands who may not have had the privilege of quality public education save for his intervention.
This is my call to other illustrious Sons and Daughters of Anambra State to get back to their communities and solve a problem.
In places like Neni, we’ve had interventions in rural road construction of about 18km by the Late Anthony Enukeme (TONIMAS) God bless his soul. I also note the construction of 12km more in Adazi by individuals who understand the burden of development as a collective responsibility.
No one is too poor that they have nothing to give, and none is too rich that they have nothing to receive. If you can afford a pencil, go home and give it to the public school in your community. When we all have this mindset, then we can be sure that we are halfway into creating a prosperous homeland.”
