States Anambra shares boundaries with


States share boundaries the same way it goes with communities. Anambra state, being quite big touches some other states in the southeast and even other states in Nigeria. Some of these boundaries are marked by rivers and bridges and in some places, there is no significant boundary. Our dear Anambra is bounded by the states below.
Enugu State

Anambra shares boundaries with Enugu state towards the east. Enugu state was created from Anambra state. In 1991, the coal city-state came forth from two-thirds of the mother state, Anambra. Therefore it is a no-brainer that the two states share boundaries. Ufuma, a town in Anambra shares a boundary with Enugu state in two places. Mmam Inyi separates Ufuma and Inyi, a town in Enugu on one axis while Mmam Akpugo separates Ufuma and Akpugo, another town in Enugu on another axis.
Delta State

The second Niger bridge is the link between southeastern and the western states. The bridge which is built on top of the river Niger connects Onitsha, the commercial hub in Anambra and Asaba, the capital of Delta state.
Delta State is well known for giving the country oil and farm produces. Onitsha town is celebrated for the sheer size of buying and selling that takes place within it. Suffice it to say that Onitsha Main Market is one of the biggest markets in West Africa. The market serves both Anambra and Delta, the country and the continent.
Abia State

Anambra and Abịa state share boundaries towards the southeast. You could move from Anambra to Abia state just when you cross Owerre Ezukala, a town in Anambra and enter Umuaku, a town in Isuochi, Abia. You could also enter Umuaku from Umuchukwu, another town in Anambra. This is to say that Umuaku in Abia State connects to Anambra in two places. Abia is God’s own state.
Imo State

Uli, the town in Anambra where the state’s university is situated is very close to Oguta in Imo state. You might have probably heard of Oguta lake where two rivers meet but do not meet. Imo state is a stone throw from Uli. Another town in Imo State called Osina shares boundaries with Uga and Amesi in Anambra state. Imo state calls itself the Eastern heartland. The state is rich in culture and as well statues. It is the African city of statues.
Kogi State

Anambra meets Kogi in the north. Aguleri in Anambra North local government area and Odeke in Ibaji local government area in Kogi state are neighboring communities. Kogi is the confluence state having rivers Niger and Benue meet at Lokoja, the state capital. The state is found in the middle belt region of the country and thanks to the location, they speak Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba languages.
Rivers State

Anambra shakes hands with Rivers state on the south. Ogbaru local government area touches Delta and Rivers state at different ends. When you talk Rivers state, you talk oil and gas. It is Nigeria’s dome of petroleum. The state does really well in agriculture and food provision for the country. Rivers state is the treasure base of the nation.
Edo State

Anambra falls into a soft embrace with Edo state on the west. Edo is popular for their arts and crafts. The people have a rich heritage and geographical space to count for it. The state plays a major role in the history of the country. It houses so many ethnic groups within it maybe that is why the state is called the heartbeat of the nation since Nigeria is a multi-cultural state.
