FREEDOM UNIVERSITY AND THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY-FUTS THE 17TH MATRICULATION/ CONVOCATION CEREMONY.





It was a great, memorable and exciting moment as Freedom University marked her 17th Matriculation ceremony with awards given to some special and worthy personalities.
Kudos to the Chancellor of Freedom University in the person of His Grace, Archbishop Amb Prof Edwin. N. Ozuzu(JP) Ph.D. He is a great leader par excellence with Oceanic charisma and impeccable grace galvanized with deep spiritual sagacity and imperial power. His modus operandi and modus vivendi has distinguished the school locally and internationally. His episcopal horizon is multifaceted and multidimensional in a dexterous admixture of his life calling, career, and academic administration. Prof Edwin is a man of integrity and a great mind. He is a factotum and a father to thousands of Bishops, Pastors, Politicians, Doctors etc both locally and internationally.












His intellectual and leadership sagacity has brought the university in a deep conjugal romance with many proven universities worldwide which will make the university to soar in a new height of glory in no distant time. In course of the ceremony, a video call was made between the chancellor and the facilitator of Casino university on the partnership relationship between both universities. The spokesman of Casino university assured the audience that they are ready to work with Freedom university so far they have found what they have been looking for in Nigeria for over fifty years in the chancellor. He said that the exchange program will definitely commence by June this year as plans are on the ground to start it with other projects they have in the country.
The 17th matriculation/Convocation and Award ceremony began in a colorful way with the special opening prayer, brief instructions to the students and glorious procession of the matriculating students with the University Senate, Professors, Rectors, and Lecturers in order to the Auditorium. The chancellor officially made welcome to everyone to the occasion of the 17th matriculation and award ceremony. The awardees and special guests were welcomed to the podium.
However, the chancellor delivered a powerful welcome address. In his speech, he said that Education was programmed to liberate the mind, the soul as well as the spirit, and redirect the thoughts of man from hostility to servility. Hence the birth and growth of freedom university as the apogee of the citadel of learning. University is a place where great minds come together and critically analyse issues with a view to finding out which way to follow which researches are carried out to advance learning; he noted.
After the address, the chief servant Archbishop Prof Edwin N Ozuzu encouraged the participants to sit tight to enjoy the overflowing joy God would unleash on everyone in course of the ceremony. He equally introduced the special guests at the high table.
At this moment, the Registrar of the university presented the matriculating students to the vice-chancellor for matriculation. The chancellor charged the students to up and doing and know that God has given them great opportunity to be trained and empowered mentally, spiritually, socially and otherwise; that they shouldn’t in any way abuse and misuse their time on campus seeing that the school timetable will be strictly followed.
The award session was followed immediately which experienced delay upon delay due to the late arrival of some awardees caused by heavy traffic along the Mararaba Nyanya Expressway.
The citation, decoration and certificate presentation were given to the following awardees: Adaigbo Chief (Mrs) Queen. F. O. Anusionwu( NEE NDIRIBE) bagged the honorary award in philanthropic management, Mrs Titilayo Macaulay Ukpong, Doctorate award in peace and conflict management, Rev. Dr. Eyitayo Caleb, Professorship laureate appointment in peace and conflict management, Chief Great Sopuruchukwu chukwukere Eboh, Doctorate award in peace and conflict management, Mr Jeremiah Daniel Oteikwu, Professorship laureate appointment in peace and conflict management.
Mr. Billie Salisu shehu received an Academic Doctorate honours in peace and conflict management. Mr. Tommy Ejembi bagged the honorary award in peace and conflict management.



Henry Arinze Obiozor Ph.D the chief executive officer and founder of Henmark Information Technologies Limited received an Academic Doctorate Ph.D in peace and conflict management after three years of completion of his academic work and Thesis. He graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 2003, completed his master’s program in peace and conflict Management Three years ago and today he received his academic doctorate Certificate from the Institution.

The special guest of honour and chief award recipient in the person of Apostle Amb Dr. Theo. O. Ebonyi was live. He is the General Oversea and founder of Faith On The Rock Ministry, a two thousand five hundred capacity worship Cathedral in Nyanya Gwandara, Nasarawa State Nigeria.

Mr. Oloche Ebonyi is a very successful Businessman, a Pastor, Father, Philanthropist, a powerful industrialist and a Gospel magnate. He is the President and CEO of Theobarth Global Foundation, a philanthropic organization armed with the mandate of empowering more than 50 million Nigerians and lifting them from the shackles of poverty to the Pavilion of wealth and prosperity. Apostle Ebonyi has received numerous meritorious and academic awards and recognitions locally and internationally including Eminent Peace Ambassador (UN).
He was decorated and certified with Professorship Laureate appointment in peace and conflict management by this prestigious University. Archbishop Prof Ozuzu who officiated the award ceremony prayed and prophesized to him and encouraged him to stand strong and see that he delivers his philanthropic mandate to Nigerians within a short period of time.
Prof. Mrs. Eunice Enunu Adeyanju received the Best Alumna award of the year 2021 with others. The ceremony ended around some minutes after 3 pm with closing remarks, Prayers, and group photographs.
